Micromold’s PVDF basket strainer manufacturing process includes the bottom plug of our PVDF strainer body being joined with a buttress thread for strength then hand-welded in place.  Our employees take great pride in passing along the “tribal knowledge” they’ve gained from many years of experience.  Learning to weld requires developing great technique to balance variables like speed and temperature.  To ensure a good joint like the one shown here (pic 1), the apprentice cut a dummy plug with multiple chamfered grooves (pic 2), on which to practice (pic 3), before working on the final product (pic 4).
