FLUOR-O-FLO® Valves - PTFE
Micromold's FLUOR-O-FLO® PTFE valves are well suited for use in industries that demand purity and extreme corrosion resistance. We offer quarter-turn 2-way plug valves in full port configuration and check valves.
The smooth, one-piece plug design of our FLUOR-O-FLO® 2-Way Full-Port Plug Valves eliminates entrapment cavities common in ball valves. The self-lubricating, self-cleaning wiping action is simpler and more reliable than ball valves. Sealing surfaces are micro-polished. To ensure leak tight performance, all valves are individually tested at or above their rated pressure. The valves are also suitable for vacuum service.
For manual operation, the valves are equipped with a Kynar PVDF handle. For connecting to actuators, valves are available with an optional round pocket with slots; low breakaway and moving torque allows use of smaller, low power, lower-cost actuators. Integral mounting holes in the valve body allow simple but rugged attachment to panels and piping supports.
Micromold’s FLUOR-O-FLO® Check Valves, also called non-return valves, provide a simple but flexible solution to flow-control where the superior properties of virgin PTFE are needed to handle corrosive or high-purity environments. This smooth, one-way valve is an effective and easy solution to preventing upstream contamination caused by backflow in the system.
Check valves work fairly simply. When the pressure of the fluid upstream of the valve rises above the cracking-pressure level of the valve, the valve is opened. When the pressure falls below the cracking-level, the valve closes, preventing fluid from flowing downstream. Any downstream flow-reversal increases pressure on the seal, ensuring no fluids flow upstream.

Our 2-way full port valves and check valves are stock items. These valves are designed to complement Micromold’s FLUOR-O-FLO® PTFE NPT piping system. Valves with other connections (Tri-Clamp, flanged, etc.) are available on special order. So, if you don’t see it listed, just ask!
